Home & School Mission Statement
The Archdiocese of Philadelphia supports the well established Catholic philosophy of education that parents have basic rights and duties in the education of their children. The mission of Saint Dorothy's Home and School Association is to provide parents and teachers a means of sharing and creating experiences for the benefit of the child, the school and the home. Because we place the highest priority on the spiritual and moral development of our families and on the service of others, we will strive to assist in providing an environment which integrates academic excellence with Christian values . We, who are nominated to the Executive Board of the Home and School Association are a parent volunteer organization which works together with the principal, the faculty and the parents of Saint Dorothy. As the Home and School, we are here to offer and provide support academically and spiritually by helping to create experiences which benefit our children.

 | You, our school parents, are all invited to be part of the Publicity Committee! Anytime you are at a St. Dot's event or an outing with St. Dot's students, please take some photos. Then, pick your best 2-3 photos. Be sure you can identify first and last names of every student in the shot, write a brief description of the event, including the date, and send it to homeandschool@saintdorothy.org . We'll forward them on to local newspapers and post them on our website (once we've confirmed that everyone in the photo has signed a Photo Release form). We look forward to seeing your photos (just a gentle request...please don't send more than 2 or 3 photos from an event--our email server thanks you!). |
