GRADE CORRELATION: In grades 1-3 these letter grades are used to show progress. These are calculated with assignment grades and taking the average in our gradebook system.
O= 97-100
VG= 91-96
G= 84-90
S= 77-83
I= 70-76
U= 69 and below
For grades 1-8 the 4,3,2,1 are used to show progress in Behavior, Effort and Listening and Speaking and Specials.
These correlate to the following:
4= Exceeding expectations
3= Meeting expectations
2= Needs improvement
1= Unsatisfactory
AWARDS/ACADEMIC HONORS
Students in grades 5-8 will be awarded honors at the end of the each trimester. Excellence awards will be acknowledged at the end of the year.
First Honors - 95 cumulative average or above and no grade lower than a 90 in each subject and a 3 or 4 in effort, conduct, Spanish and specials.
Second Honors - 90 cumulative average or above and no grade lower than 85 in each subject and a 3 or 4 in effort, conduct, Spanish and specials.
Effort and Witness to Christ are recognized each trimester.
Infractions for conduct will not be used to deduct points from any academic subject; however, it will be reflected on the Personal Development Behavior section on the report card.
TRIMESTER AWARDS: Each trimester 1-2 students from each homeroom will be awarded Effort and Witness to Christ. This takes place at our first Friday Mass after the trimester ends.
END OF YEAR AWARDS ASSEMBLY (Grades 1-7)
An Awards Assembly will be held during the last week of school and the following awards will be given:
Academic Excellence:
Students with Final Term grades resulting in a 96 or higher average and no grade lower than a 94.
All Specials, Spanish and Effort/Conduct are 3 or 4.
Continuous Effort - one student from each homeroom - grades 1-7
Witness to Christ - one student from each homeroom - grades 1-7

Closing Exercises
Participation in closing exercises is a privilege. The school has the right to restrict any student from participating in closing exercises if, in its view, the student’s conduct, or academic or disciplinary record indicate that the privilege should not be extended.
