The Archdiocese of Philadelphia supports the well established Catholic philosophy of education that parents have basic rights and duties in the education of their children. The mission of Saint Dorothy's Home and School Association is to provide parents and teachers a means of sharing and creating experiences for the benefit of the child, the school and the home. Because we place the highest priority on the spiritual and moral development of our families and on the service of others, we will strive to assist in providing an environment which integrates academic excellence with Christian values.

President's Mission Statement

 We, who are nominated to the Executive Board of the Home and School Association are a parent volunteer organization which works together with the principal, the faculty and the parents of Saint Dorothy. As the Home and School, we are here to offer and provide support academically and spiritually by helping to create experiences which benefit our children.

Fundraising Efforts
 The Home and School is committed to enhancing the academics and classroom environment for students and faculty. Fundraising is a necessary component and we are grateful to you for supporting our efforts. All school fundraising is incorporated under the Home and School accounting structure. When funds received for a specific purpose are over budget the remaining funds will be put towards the general operating account.

Email Communication

 The Home and School Association is continually looking for ways to improve our ability to keep communication lines open.  One of the ways in which we can do this is to provide information via e-mail notifications and updates.  If you are currently not receiving email updates and would like to receive information/updates, please email Home & School at homeandschool@stdots.com with your current e-mail address/es 

 We also welcome your comments, ideas, and suggestions!

Expense Reimbursement

 The Home and School Association is always greatly appreciative of all of your efforts, your assistance and your input in any and all matters relating to H&S activities.

 We ask that you please contact the Treasurer at homeandschool@stdots.com, whenever you have money that has been collected on behalf of the Home and School Association. The Treasurer will be responsible for getting those funds depositted to the proper bank accounts.

 Should you be in need of money, you must contact the Home and School Association for approval in advance and complete the form located on the School Forms page.  Once the form is forwarded to the Treasurer it will be reviewed by the Board.  Upon approval, the Treasurer will arrange for your payment.

 Your cooperation in these matters is greatly appreciated.  Again, we thank you for all of your support!
