Hello to all my mathematicians!  My name is Denise McMonagle and this will be my 14th year teaching at St. Dorothy's School.  I live in Havertown with my husband and 4 children.  Elizabeth, my oldest, graduated from Villanova and works in the NICU at Lankenau Hospital.  My son Jimmy graduated from St. Joseph's university and is working as an IT specialist in the city. My daughter Laura graduated from Immaculata University in May and is working in the Disney World College Program this year, and finally Jenny is a freshman at Catholic University.  

Besides being a mom I enjoy reading, travelling, family movie nights, and any activity outdoors.  I love to take trips and as long as someone in my family will come with me, I am up for anything.  This summer we travelled to New York, Vermont, Connecticut, Boston, Montreal, Quebec, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Florida and of course the Jersy Shore.  Our family trips are highlights.  Now that I have more drivers in the family we may venture further!

I graduated from Boston College with a BS in Accounting and St. Joseph's University with a MS in Elementary Education and Reading Specialist Certification.   My passion truly is to work with children and young adults and help them realize their potential.  It is a wonderful gift to be able to work with the students of St. Dorothy and be part of the community.

I am looking forward to my 8th year as the Advanced Math Teacher.  It is an added bonus to teach the same students for consecutive years and really see them mature and develop as young adults.  My goal is to help the students grow spiritually, academically and socially while using their talents to become the best they can be. 

My door is always open for students and parents to discuss any questions or concerns.
