Winter has arrived! We will discuss the seasonal changes, our ever changing weather and the possibility of snow. During creative movement, we will pretend to be snowflakes and have some fun with snowballs. We’ll learn why certain animals spend the winter building nests, why some hibernate and migrate. We will be taking a trip to the Arctic Circle and Antarctica. We will learn about many different types of animals. Such as polar bears, penguins, fish and seals. The children will discover the melting and freezing of ice and snow. We’ll experience new textures, along with painting with colored ice cubes and shaving cream. We have many winter stories to read and imagine this winter season. Your child is welcome to bring in their favorite winter story. At the end of month we will be celebrating Catholic Schools Week, this is a busy week.
