Winter has arrived! We will discuss the seasonal changes, our ever changing weather and the possibility of snow. During creative movement, we will pretend to be snowflakes and have some fun with snowballs. We’ll learn why certain animals spend the winter building nests and why some hibernate and migrate. We will be taking a trip to the Arctic Circle and Antarctica. We will learn about many different types of animals. Such as polar bears, penguins, fish and seals. The children will discover melting and freezing of ice and snow. We’ll experience new textures, along with painting with colored ice cubes and shaving cream. We have many winter stories to read and imagine this winter season. Your child is welcome to bring in their favorite winter story. At the end of month we will be celebrating Catholic Schools Week, this is a busy week.
Please continue to practice the sign of the cross, our before meal prayer. “Bless us, O Lord, and these, Thy gifts, which we are about to receive from Thy bounty. Through Christ, our Lord. Amen." and our new prayer, “Our Father, Who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, On earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread, And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen”
Hail Mary
"Hail, Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death."
Amen.
