During November, we will be learning about the First Thanksgiving, how the Native Americans and Pilgrims came together to celebrate, and what they might have eaten. We will be doing different art projects that relate to fall and turkeys. We will be reading stories about things that we are thankful for each day. We will have a tasting of cornbread. In past years, the children enjoyed something that was served on the first Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving!
We will continue to discuss the fall season and all the changes that come. We will go on nature walks to see the seasonal changes on St. Dot’s Campus. Your child is welcome to bring in a book about Thanksgiving (or a related topic) or a small Thanksgiving item to be displayed in the classroom. We will be using our five senses to explore these items.

The Sign of the Cross: In the name of the Father, and of the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Grace Before Meals: Bless us, O Lord, and these, Thy gifts, which we are about to receive from thy bounty. Through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
The Hail Mary: Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
The Our Father: “Our Father, Who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, On earth as it is in Heaven.
