Week of : 9/30/17

Math: We will continue working in chapter 2. In this chapter, we are learning how to add three numbers and find the missing part. We are also learning more addition strategies such as doubles, doubles plus 1, and break apart.

Fundations: We are working in unit 2, learning how to tap words to read and spell. We are working with CVC words.

ELA: 
Phonics - We are learning blends and plural suffix -s.
Reading - The comprehension focus is on visualize and main story elements. The genre we are focusing on is fantasy. We will be reading stories this week and discussing visualization, main story elements, and fantasy characteristics.
High Frequence Words: be, come, good, pull
Writing and Grammar: We are focusing on the characteristics of a sentence (upper case, punctuation, spaces, naming part, telling part). We are learning the difference between statements and questions and the punctuation that goes with each type of sentence. We are writing complete sentences.

Religion: Chapter 2 - God sent his Son, Jesus.
