Monthly Curriculum Highlights

Our learning focus this month:

Religion: This month we are focusing on Advent.  We are celebrating the feasts of St. Nicholas and the Immaculate Conception.   We will also be telling the story of the Birth of Jesus.

Math – For the next few weeks we will be learning about shapes.  We will be identifying and describing shapes.  We will compare shapes using parts and attributes.   We also will review numbers through 10 with Christmas activities.

ELA–   Unit 3 in our Wonders series is reading Fiction focusing on characters and setting.  We are working on the letters i, n, and c.  We will also be reading Christmas books and writing about Christmas.  New sight words are to, and, & go.

Science / Social Studies /Art
We have stem activities planned related to the Gingerbread Man.  We will read and talk about hibernation.
